The Banana Medal is a special bonus item featured in Donkey Kong 64 which can only be attained once by each of the five Kongs in each of the eight different levels

The Banana Medal is a collectible side item which can be retrieved only once per level and per usable character only after a total of 75 individual Bananas are accumulated in a single run situated in a single level. To indicate this achievment, an image of the Banana Medal will fill the screen and then quickly dissolve.

This special item can be used to trigger in-game unlockables and bonus material once a set amount of the Banana Medals have been retrieved.
