Lift-Off Launch is a supposed eighth level of the seventh world in Donkey Kong Country Returns: Factory. It can only be accessed after reaching the three Power Switch Rooms hidden throughout level 7-5, 7-6, and 7-7. It is actually a form of sub-level that is meant to represent Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong's mean of travel from the factory's ground level to the following boss area through use of the now-fully-powered Rocket.

[edit] Donkey Kong Country Returns

This level begins inside of a central room that takes on the appearance of a space-like laboratory, with large, odd-looking contraptions at work in the background(among them, whole meteors floating in a giant vacuum tube). Move along and you'll find three solid platforms tiered in a stair-like fashion that leads up to the Rocket, waiting patiently at it's launch pad. Enter it's open hatch doors where you'll need to activate it in the same fashion as the Barrel Rocket: repeatedly pressing the 'A'/'2' button. Once this is successfully done, the nose of the rocket will surprisingly break apart and, while remaining in place, the familiar Rocket Barrel will emerge from it's tip with the Kongs gripping onto it tightly.

From this point, the level is a one-shot run that requires you to fully avoid any of the following obstacles you'll encounter or risk exploding on contact. As you fly up past the worn foundation of the dilapidated factory and through groups of jungle trees on either side of you, you'll notice a single Life Balloon stray in front of your path, followed by a couple groups of Banana Bunches. After whizzing past a zig-zaggy line of suspended Bananas, sets of steel, squared girder structures will appear sticking out on either side of you, so be wary. After the line of generous Bananas ends, you'll enter an area consisting of a rugged, isolated path formed by a tightly-spaced wall of red steel girders that will move back and forth in a similar zigzag shape.

After squeezing through a tight opening at the top of all this, you'll be greeted by a wide, open, cloudy sky that's being invaded by the beauty of the aurora borealis, as well as the Tiki Tak Tribe's blimp airships. Swerve and squeeze your way through six of these aerocrafts, then collect a swarm of loose Bananas falling out of the back-end of another airship encountered farther up. From this point, you'll fly up through a thick cloud ceiling and the sub-level will then end, leading you onto Feather Fiend.
