Skellirex's are short, small, skeletal, baby-sized tyrannosaurus rex's. They move at a fairly medium speed and use their sharp, marrow-enforced jaws in order to attack any Kong that willingly passes them by. This enemy is defeated by the traditional jumping-on-the-head method, but all is not what it seems with this enemy. Once this happens, the Skellirex's body quickly disintegrates, leaving only it's disembodied head behind. Once this happens, the remains of this enemy is now known as a "Skullyrex". The Skullyrex's attack pattern is similar to the Skellirex's, yet noticably more hyperactive. Rather than simply walking in a fixed pattern back and forth, waiting for an enemy to bite, the Skullyrex opens and closes it's jaws constantly while hopping high into the air(for it's height), attempting to bite anything within it's radius. It would go without saying that it is much easier to slip up and lose a piece of Heart Health to a Skullyrex rather than the comparably mellow Skellirex.
The Skellirex takes on the average, stereotyped appearance of a very small tyrannosaurus rex's skeleton. While this was this enemy's original conception, it was eventually modified in the final version to have a marrow protrusion coming out of the back of it's head in the fashion of a duckbill dinosaur.
